This wine decanter is made in Quebec City by a woodworking artisan. Entirely handcrafted from oak, this device is used to decant old wines into a carafe to prevent deposits or lees formed during aging from getting into the glass, resulting in cloudy wine.

When the wine is gently decanted, a small light placed on the shoulders of the bottle shows that the liquid is still clear and limpid. The bottle to be decanted should be left standing for 24 to 48 hours before decanting, to ensure that all deposits remain in the bottom of the bottle.

The decanter can also be used to decant young wines to aerate them. The Vinum decanter is produced exclusively for Vinum Design.

Featuring a minimalist, contemporary design, the RTM Duo is a bottle column designed to bring a touch of elegance to your space. It comprises a floor-to-ceiling stud plus two RTM16 modules stacked on the other, offering a versatile solution for storing wine bottles. With a depth designed to accommodate one bottle, it can be used independently or as a complement to an existing wine cellar.

In 2017 RIEDEL is presenting a new edition of some decanters in the Fatto a Mano editions. They feature optical blown glass and a black-white-black ornamental line that enhances their dynamic designs. The art of optically blown glass originated in Venice, the cradle of the most superior glassblowing techniques. Nowadays there are not many glass blowers who are proficient in this method. During his training in Murano, Maximilian RIEDEL was so fascinated by this technique, that he now uses it for special pieces in his collections.
