Those powerful systems from WhisperKOOL are made for an efficient Split AND Fully Ducted installation. For wine cellars from 1000 to 2000 cu. ft, the system is designed for Powerful Operation, Efficiency, High Reliability and Longevity. The units can be positioned up to 25 ducted feet from the cellar with the compressor located in a remote location, creating a noise-free cellar environment. Fully ducted installation provides many installation options, allowing you to put the the evaporator (cold side) in more remote areas of the home. A licensed HVAC or refrigeration technician is required for the installation.
Ducted systems can be Self-Contained or Split systems and typically have more installation options/flexibility. The unit may be installed up to 25 ducted feet from the cellar, with the cool air flowing to the cellar and the heat exhaust ducted to the outside of the home. Detailed research by the RIEDEL family, aimed at improving the organoleptic wine experience, revealed that increasing the inner surface area of the glass had a positive impact on the perception of the bouquet and flavour of the wine. This was achieved through a unique optical effect, which not only adds a pleasing visual aspect to the bowl, but also increases the inner surface area, allowing the wine to open up and to fully show every aroma and subtle nuance.
